Yes i agree with you. As long as
smokers' smoking isn't disturbing
anyone they shouldn't be
humiliated. Also restaurants should
be allowed to have separate sitting
arrangements for smokers making not
only smokers happy but also
restaurants will be earning more
coz of smoker customers at ease.

Doesn't it bother you that so many
things are being regulated or
banned by some form of government?
A restaurant or Bar should be able
to decide for itself if it wants to
be smoke free or cater to smokers.
Europe, where many people still
smoke, must think we are really
suppressed.

It is all a bunch of health nuts
with nothing else to do but moan
and groan about anything. I bet
they are a real pain to live with.
I think smoker have rights just
like those burping idiots who gripe
about everything.

I am a smoker and what i do with my
lungs is my problem but after a
good meal who doesn't want to
smoke.It's horrible and
unfair.Thta's why my husband and i
prefer to go to restaurants on the
beach cause you are free to.But it
even sucks when you go to a bar and
grill.

I agree with you Pencil, you should
be able to smoke in the smoking
section of a restaurant.

I agree if someone wants to smoke
and as long as it isn't disterbing
anyone why should they have to go
out of a resterant or a shop to
have a smoke it's not afir on them
it's like saying if you have a
child with you you cant go into
your fave
shop/resterant!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know the feeling. In Alaska,
there is talk about rescinding the
smoking ban in bars now. Those
things tend to go hand in hand.

I also am tired of being pushed
around by non-smokers, and also the
hypocritical "Smokers" who agree
with the non smokers just to "fit
in". These same people are sneaking
out to smoke. They don't attend
non-smoking functions if the choice
is there. The US Government is
gradually taking away our Freedom,
one issue at a time. The U.S.
Citizens do not get to Vote on many
of these changes. I just hope when
this stupid law passes, that there
will be private clubs to join,
which I will join regardless of
cost.

I agree when they passed that no
smoking ban here in Alabama a lot
of businesses lost business because
of it and there were some that
actually closed down because you
could not smoke in there i think
it should be up to the business

I agree, its a persons right to
smoke if they wish and a business
to let them smoke it it soes not
bother other people there.

I agree with you pencil. Although
I no longer smoke, I see how much
smokers today are being ridiculed
and chastised. I remember when I
still smoked and the "no smoking"
campaign just started. At work we
were told we had to smoke in the
lobby of the building, then we had
to move outside the building,
finally we had to move out so many
feet from the building because of
the 2nd hand smoke possibly going
into someone's office window! Give
me a break! As I drive home every
night, I drive by two bars within a
half block of each other. It
appears like all the customers are
outside smoking rather than inside
drinking. To me it seems like
"society" has blackballed the wrong
thing. I think they should look
more closely at the drinking
problem we have in the world and
how many people die from excessive
drinking, or getting killed by
drunk drivers! And then how about
all those abusive drinkers who beat
up their wives and/or husbands or
pick a fight in a bar and kill or
mame someone! No, they've gone too
far with this no smoking campaign
as far as I'm concerned!

Well, smokers are the ones with an
unhealthy, filthy habit that
affects those who don't smoke.
There's a reason there are people
who are non smokers, they don't
want to slowly die from nicotine
and why should they suffer from
someone else's habit?

I feel sorry for you, to be
honest.
But if it's a restaurant and if
you happen to be smoking, people
with asthma would actually be in
danger.
I don't see what the harm is, if
you just step OUTSIDE and smoke,
then it's not harming anyone
inside, and you wouldn't really be
pushed around.

 Restaurants fail everyday in cities
without smoking laws. People go to
restaurants to eat, not to smoke.
Blaming smoking on business failure
is a poor excuse.
Before smoking bans, I avoided
restaurants that stunk like smoke.
Let's face it, smokers are a
shrinking small minority in our
society. It is a poor business
model to cater to a minority that
keeps the majority of customers out
of your establishment.
