If women are going to choose to go through with an abortion then at least let us get something out of it. The fetus is a amazing new breakthrew that in a way by one not living you may be saving thousands or in the long run when we make the final discovery that everyone is waiting for millions of lives. Probably even those of you now that are voting no- will be affected by the stem cell research and someone maybe even you will be saved because of it.

 If it cures more people of terrible diseases i am for it

 Absolutely, any chance we have of easing the suffering of so many that could benefit from it, I say do it!

 There's no guarantee we'll get any cures for anything from stem cell research, however I would support embryonic stem-cell research only on babies that died by accident, not from elective abortions. This, i think, will temper the protests of the religious with the needs of researchers, creating a win-win policy in this area.

 I absolutely believe in stem cell research. It is the new frontier, the holy grail of science in my opinion. The options and possibilities are limitless. For those opposed to the use of aborted fetuses or in-vitro discarded embryos (who no one seems to protest as much), new research has made skin cell/stem cell research a possibility. It is the science of the future and the now.

 I don't understand why some folks don't want to allow it. Stem cells are harvested from aborted fetuses, so as long as abortion is legal, I'm for it. The poor babies are going to die anyway. I think abortion should be outlawed first. (With that said, I'd like to note that I am pro-choice. I don't believe anyone should tell a woman what she can or cannot do with her body.)
