The Constitution was originally
written as a definition of our
government and how it was to be
run. Starting with the Bill of
Rights, everytime our leaders
recognize either a legitimate need
for a change or a definitive change
in our society amendments were
added to keep up with the world and
the times. If there weren't any
amendments since the Bill of Rights
I would agree.
We are living in a 21st century
world, a 21st century country with
a 21st century democracy.
1) If you don't agree I have 2
suggestions: 1. Start putting
together a group of people
dedicated to getting the amendments
added to our constitution that you
feel are needed to bring the
document up to date
2) Study the other existing
Democracy's ...in every
continent...Asia, Africa, South
America, etc...Once you've done
that, then I believe you will be
able to compare and see just how
our Democracy based on our
Constitution is the most updated,
21st Century in existence.
