Love, such a strong word. I
continue to look back at the ones I
have loved and lost through the
years and begin to think how nice
it would be to have someone to be
there for. To take care of and
share life's adventures. I begin to
wonder if I will have the
opportunity to find someone like
this. I thought I had once but she
had other ideas and I became single
once again.
Yes, I have a very difficult time
dealing with valentines day.

Hate it when my love isn't around
with me on valentines day.
& when my love is around me then
every day we meet becomes
valentines day.

I don't think Valentines day is
just for people in "perfect"
relationships. I can give my best
friend a card, my children heart
shaped chocolates, and my mom a
bouquet of flowers. However, I must
admit that when I see someone else
getting a bouquet of roses and a
piece of jewelry I do feel a bit of
jealousy ; )

It's a bad day if you're single and
without a "Valentine" when everyone
around you is celebrating with
their sweethearts. You tend to
feel left out and unloved.

My husband died last year, We had
celebrated our last Valentin's day
together unknowingly. We had a
party at our church and we won the
Married wed show. But that was
2007. So this past Val. Day 2008 I
was alone without him. I miss him
so much and cried that day as well
as everyday. In fact i am crying
now. Val Day has always been
important to us and without him it
is real hard.

Yeah I always got kind of bummed on
valentines day and New years eve,
because I mostly was single.

If you don't have a romantic love
to celebrate in your life at the
present, you can always celebrate
the love of your family, friends
and God. At the same time, you can
celebrate the romantic love of
your friends who are married or
are in love. Send
them a Happy
Valentine Card. By doing so,
you can always celebrate
LOVE.

Of course it's not. You have to
remember the whole idea, if you are
single it is an opportunity to let
someone know you are interested in
them or send an anonymous card to
someone who needs cheering up -
it's as much about giving and
expressing love/feelings as it is
about receiving it/them. Even if
you just walk up to a total
stranger, kiss them on the cheek
and say happy valentines day, the
look on their faces will make you
feel good - you never know it could
start a whole new trend and spread
a little happiness in to people's
lives....

 I don't find it a bad day. I think
it might suck even more if you're
with someone and people come and
confess to you and the such.
I rather be single on valentine's
day, more chocolate to eat :]

It's bad when you've been recently
dumped!! Valentines day isn't just
about having a companion to share
it with. It's a day that's to be
celebrated with all your loved
ones.

Sure, I guess if you look at this
holiday with such sadness, you will
start to hate it. However, you can
take this day as a chance to tell
your friends what they mean to you,
your family, heck even a pet.
Doesn't matter what's going on with
your love life. Treat yourself, if
you want.

I'm sorry but the whole idea of
valentine's day is a little crazy
to me. It's a whole day to tell
someone that you love them. You
should do that everyday. It's just
another hallmark holiday. And no
I'm not saying this because I'm
single, because I'm not lol

I spend it with my best friends so
point of hating it just coz of no
love-relationship. Even If sometime
every one is busy(No holiday on
valentines day here), I choose to
make day long calls or next time
will login to blurtit & spend time
with my precious, lovely new
friends here.

No, valentine's day is a great day
for pranks. For example, in my
school, we have that "change love
letters" thing. Girls have a chance
to declarate to guys and the other
way around. It's unlikely to end up
without any letter, this year I got
4. But you can use that day to make
an excellent prank, like sending a
card to all the students saying
things like "Hi, you're so cute,
can we meet?behind study room 2, at
3pm!"
And they end up all together there,
not knowing what happened!

Not really. People around you still
love you and you have friends. You
don't really have to be a couple
with someone. Just be happy, send
gifts to friends and family, and
forget about being single if you
are.

You can always make it a special
day for your friends or close
relatives. WHen you give you
receive much more in return.

For all the years I was single or
alone on Valentines Day, I tried to
make the day special for someone
else. I would take my mom (who is
a widow) out to dinner and she
loved it. I would also flowers t
work, and I would give each of the
girls a red rose. For the guys,
they got a the box of sweethearts
"you're groovy/be mine" etc
candies. You'd be surprised how
much joy you can get from giving to
others.

Valentines is a day just like every
other day. If you got someone
great, if no one is in your life,
just enjoy the day by yourself or
with friends.

 Don't be silly. Valentine's Day
has become such hype. If you can't
be happy with yourself, maybe you
can't be happy with someone else.
If you have to have somebody to be
happy, you're going to have a rough
life. But, as you said, some may
look at the day as a time to get to
know someone, and there's nothing
wrong with that.
