Hi Lovelyme (and you certainly are "lovely" !!) I grew up in western Massachusetts, and we are sort of famous for being a melting pot of all types of people. We have numerous colleges in this area and many people come to this area to go to college and end up falling in love with the quality of life here. So we have a big mix of different people from all over the country. As a result, we have no "typical" regional accent, as opposed to say just across the state in Boston with their instantly recognizable "pahk the cah in Hahvahd yahd" accent". So, yes, there are definitely different accents in the US, but thankfully, being in the "voice" business, I do not have an identifiable regional accent. In the UK, I believe that there are a bunch of different accents, correct? w

Hi, Wes
Thanks for the reply!
I wish one day I can speak a beautiful English as you do. But I am stuck in the UK right now, and hugely inflenced by British English. So I keep liten your podcast to hope get some improvement of my accent although its a little bit weird that a non-native speaker in the uk speak american english, -- ny friends laugh at me sometimes :(
Yes, there are lots regional accents across the UK, such as london, manchestor, norfolk, welsh, scottish...
Btw, I saw your website on your profile page, according to your nephew, you seems a very famous voice over in the US. And I like you with glasses on..
Have a nice day.

It seems unfair that everyone talks about wes, kellie, you have a great voice as well. Maybe you need a picture to make us know you more. A picture can help to speak out millions words;)

Lovelyme..
Could be the summer tan when it was taken outside...could be the hint of Native American blood in my ancestry.
I really think it's the quality of the picture which was copied from a photo and not the negative..it dates pre digital camera :)
I think I'll swap it out soon for another wonderful nature pic!

Well well well.
What does Wes Talbot and Brad Pitt have in common besides a winning smile ?
They are both in Nice France! I Hope Wes doesn;t have to battle the Papparazzi too much and comes back safely with a good Brangelina story!

Wes, you sound like a professional on the podcast. Kellie as well. I was just curious what these podcast consisted of. Never did I think that there would be someone discussing about blurtit. That just makes blurtit all the more intresting! This site has truely changed the way I think on some issues, and made me veiw some issues in another perspective. I have had the priviledge to bestow what knowledge I have to those who accept and have had many thank and compliment me for my advice. This site is no doubt a diamond in the rough.

Hi there Wes and Kelly!!! I was shocked to hear about my lovely state on your podcast, kind of flattering it is. To answer about the vegitation at the State Fair, this years tallest corn stalk is over 23 feet tall, and the cabbage is always a favorite to see, they are usually around 100 or more pounds. There are squash, turnips, onions, carrots, all kinds of vegetables. There is something in the Matanuska Valley soils that make them grow just amazingly. Also, the Duct Tape ball is where people make costumes out of duct tape and there are other events at the ball, best costume, worst, cutest and stuff like that. Some people up here like to boast that we are the duct tape capital of the world. We do use a lot of it here. LOL. Some people even say if you don't have a roll, you aren't an Alaskan. Mushers in the Ididarod dog race use it on their faces to help keep the subzero temperatures at bay sometimes. Funny isn't it. But really there is so much to behold here. It would take me forever to tell you all about our beautiful state. Hope you like hearing a little more. Thanks for the mention.

Tiggersmom..
I do keep a roll of duct tape in my car..never know when you might need it- though I;m across the country in Massachusetts.
I have a crack in my front bumper that has duct tape on it and it looks like a big band aid till I can make time to get it fixed! UUhh..I'm talking about my CAR'S front bumper :) Alaska's on my list of places I hope to visit someday and NOT on a passing cruise ship!
