Conscious mind leading to awareness - Drifting
spirit unanchored soul - Physical Body A prison-
A temple of contradiction The temporal holding
the eternal - Enlightenment is barbed wire
jagged as a heartbeat Smooth as an ocean of
thought - Tacky with blood - Coarse with dry salt
tears - The remains of belief burned corpses
scattered on an alter of self destruction - We
sacrifice the genuine to godheads of self
awareness - Then hang the gods from trees -
Conclusions once attained prove meaningless
Convinced in theory that beating somewhere
underground is the heart of truth -
A fluttering pale butterfly lost in a dead womb -
Blind & broken flying on fractured wings - Raw &
bleeding waiting to be birthed Innocence &
Truth - as unattainable as love - Twice as deadly
in intent- Beautiful in its naked ugliness -
Brutal & soft as skin - Fragile as paper-
Burn it quickly & scatter the ashes

You seem so tortured in your mind, yet very intelligent and still a christian. I suffer with bipolar and have wrote some dark poems myself. Let your poetry bring you healing. Get out all the ugliness that you soul has suffered. I'm praying for you.

This was actually written about People who go on quests for enlightenment. Most of the time their search leads them to questioning the basis of thier faith and in time can lead to total disillusionment. People who chase many different religions not sure what they really believe and how they become consumed with a new idea and then Toss it away in favor of another one. It is my Thoughts on the way so many in society chase themselves in a vain attempt to "find themself". NO worries.. I am the least tortured person there is.. I know myself well.. And I know exactly what I belive in :)
