If yes, how do you keep it?

Mine is so distant, it is almost virtual. You already know my story--many of you-- I was in love completly once in my life, and I am currently "single" (but still very connected in spirit). While it liekly doesn't honor the spirit and intent of this question, I really DO feel like I'm in a long ditance relationship--- the longest ditance possible. It exists because I hold a place of love for this man, and he for me.

Sorry to post an additional comment and take up more space here -- but I just forgot to mention that whatever the distance-- it's all relative in my opinion. If you hold a place and have a place for your love, it/he/she stays near you, and is a part of your every moment/your breathing. No moment happens without the acknowlegment/consideration of the person you love...

Yes, i am in a long-distance relationship and it is extremely hard! I live in New York, and he lives in Jamaica,West Indies!I told him that no more than two years will pass like this! Maybe one! I don't want him to meet someone else, even though he said he wouldn't do that!(I trust him). But my heart is aching from the loneliness! I try to see him when I can(at least every 2 to 3 months)!

(A relationship is normally viewed as a connection between two individuals)
"All relationships involve some level of interdependence"...
"People in a
relationship tend to influence each other, share their thoughts and
feelings, and ENGAGE IN ACTIVITIES T O G E T H E R"
"Because of this
interdependence, anything that changes or impacts one member of the
relationship will have some level of impact on the other member".
GROW up TOGETHER AS A COUPLE is the key, share the good time and the bad time, being together and try to know a little bit more from each other.
