Ah shucks! I don't think so! Nice thread though. Maybe we should have a monthly "Gifted Comic" content bit....yeah! Then we can keep a list and vote on here. What do you think Amore01?

I like Robin Williams. He is the star of what I believe is the best stand-up comedy of all time: "Live on Broadway." He can be intellectual and vulgar.

I agree with you there Matooch. I'm not fond of most of his movies but his stand-up is incredible. Loved his sketch on the creation of golf. Eddie Izzard is quality stand-up act as well. Not sure if he's big over in America?

George Carlin and Robin Williams are both great. I like a comic who is clever as well as funny. They both have that! Robin Williams can make me laugh till my sides hurt.

Eddie Izzard is great for the seemingly unconnected ramble that eventually goes full circle. Love that.

Robin Williams is brilliant. He can make you laugh about anything. Any one see "Man of the Year"? Not a great movie, but Williams was fantastic. Lewis Black is another favorite of mine, and Stephen Write is one of a kind.

I don't know if I'd define them as comics, but I really enjoy David Sedaris, David Rakoff and Sarah Vowell.

Oh yes, Christopher Walken is wonderful. If you haven't seen it, check out his performance in Pennies from Heaven.

I like Walken in "The Rundown," especially the tooth fairy scene.

Wow, there are quite a few that I really like. I guess I'm torn between Robin Williams, Lewis Black and Eddie Izzard. Now THAT would be a great show to go see if they all did a gig together!
