Hi John, what's going on with that mad spellchecker?
A while ago I posted a question that contained the word "de-sludge" - a perfectly good Australian word in the Strine language, but the spellchecker turned it into 'dislodge' and made me a laughing stock.
Now I'm trying to post an answer that refers to a blurter Jebbus' answer, and the spellchecker keeps changing it to 'Jesus'. So my post starts, 'I agree with what Jesus said...'. John, this is serious, I've got my image to consider here.

John, that Spellchecker needs to be arrested. I shouted at Logic, "I like O B A M A". Well guess what it changed THAT into! Help!

Here's another couple:
(1) renewably-produced electricity keeps being changed to renewable produced electricity.
(2) User id 'Cabrunet' changed to cabinet.

Hi Zwanger,
Yeah that is obviously not working very well, I will check into this tomorrow and get back to you.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Cheers John I'll keep posting any I spot to this thread.
Here's a minor one:
Someone else's => someone Else's (must think it's a proper name)

Where are the spell checkers? I did not see any in the debate or the answer section? I would like to know. Thank you!

Hi rev_eb, the spell check is actually a manual process carried out by our moderation team, however we are looking into ways we can put a tool on the site.
However if you use Firefox you can install an add on that spell checks everything you write, I personally find it very useful.

Thank you, John. That was very helpful.
I hope you will be able to put a spelling tool on the site. It would be a GREAT help. Fire fox works extremely slowly in US, or so was my experience. For efficiency's sake, I had to revert back to IE.
Great site, Blurtit! Thank you for your hard work and efforts to make this site both enjoyable and edifying.
