Why is it that people can't read bibles in schools, but they can in prison??

I guess for the same reasons they can get a free education, free cable TV and library privleges, free meals and all those other free 'goodies' they are allowed here in Nevada...because the politicians feel that they are a better investment than taxpayers.

We have a sheriff in Phoenix who has been known to step on a few toes in the policital scene, but he doesn't believe in bowing down to the prisoners. Here is his website:
His prisoners are housed in tents. He charges them for meals which consists of a bologna sandwich, bans coffee and cigs, salt and pepper. He only allows "G" rated movies. One of his inmates complained because it's 120 degrees is too hot in the summer time and that his treatment is inhumane. He answered back saying our troops are over seas fighting for us in over 120 degrees in full uniform and told the prisoners to shut up.

You know who to call when you see a stray animal, knowing that soon they'll be picked up, given food, and a warm place to sleep, but you don't know who to call when you see a person without a home so they can be fed, clothed, and given a warm place to sleep......

Very sad isn't it chatter..the Salvation Army and Missions in the city are so overloaded, they sometimes commit crimes in order to go to jail and get a place to eat and sleep.

I've heard many stories about that sheriff; it's Arapaho or something along those lines, isn't it? Personally I think what he's doing is wonderful and so does my cousin who lives near the Tucson area (he sends me stories via e-mail whenever they arise).
God bless Sheriff Joe and the pink undies/uniforms!!

Think you're right bethbeth...some people would rather go to prison than school.
