What's the best sad movie that you have cried in?

I think it would have to be "My Dog Skip" with Frankie Muniz. I cried like a baby.

Jojoblu, I also cried like a baby at that one too! I went right out and bought the DVD.

This is an interesting thread. I cried when I saw Bambi, but I was a kid then. I'll have to think about this one.

I'm not sure if I avoid sad movies or if I just don't cry at
them. None are coming to mind. I always cry when I watch
The Shop Around The Corner with James Stewart and Margaret
Sullavan. It's not a sad movie, but more of a romantic
comedy. Does anyone know this movie? If you do, can you
guess the part that makes me cry?

The Green Mile made me cry, my heart went out to John Coffey, the gentle giant didn't do anything to deserve what he had to go through. It was an awesome movie!

It's a tie for me ---- "The Color Purple" (when Sug Avery reunites with her father, and then when Ceily and Nettie meet each other after so many years), and the move "Back Street", an oldie from 1941 with Irene Dunne.

Absolutely brought me to sobbing - The Dollmaker - Jane fonda is in it. Very hard to find now but OMG the saddest movie and at the same time a really comforting one - but the sad part will rip your heart out..
