When I was a college student, there were a few student credit card sites out there that I looked at. I would either try Findcollegecards.com, or CreditCards.com. Both of these have a great selection for you to choose from. The best IMO would definitely be the Citi MTVU or Discover card. ...more

If you are where you say you are your credit is shot. If you stop paying the cards you will be harassed all day every day by collectors. A better move may be to contact the credit card companies and tell them that you are in financial straights and may have to file bankruptcy but if you can reach a reasonable solution you would rather avoid the filing. ...more

Credit cards are OK only when you can pay off all the amount each month. They have horrific interest rates. If you miss a payment there are hefty charges. My advice is to cut up all credit cards and never take the offer of a store card unless it is to take advantage of an initial discount and you have the money to pay off the debt ...more
