MMR is a vaccine used to prevent measles, mumps, and Rubella. It is not 100% safe and can cause side effects. There is no link between MMR and autism. In 1988 few doctors presented a theory that MMR can cause autism and IBS but they could not prove link. The history of MMR use gives no evidence of such side effects. ...more

My sister teaches Autistic Preschoolers in New Jersey. I don't know where you are located, but most local school districts are now providing special ED classrooms in the public school system. The best thing I ever did for my son is an at home therapy that seems to connect the dots in my child's brain which started him to speak and have better eye contact. He is also progressing at a much faster rate compared to other autistics in his group. To date it's the least expensive thing I've done and we're getting somewhere. Well its possible she will have autism sometimes they can diagnose it at a early age... My sister has autism but we had no idea what autism was and she has asburgurs or how ever its spelled well we didnt find that out untill she was almost 6 years old so ya definitely get the baby checked if the baby has signs of it...
