I Ran Out Of Gas, I Have A 1995 Chevy Astro Van The Van Is Not Starting After Putting Gas In It. It Was Running Fine Before It Ran Out Of Gas. Is There Somewhere To Put Gas In Order For It To Get To The Pump?

A few start attempts should be enough to get gas flowing again. The problem is that the fuel pump is lubricated and cooled by the gasoline and without gas the pump can burn out. I'm no expert on carbs but it sounds like fuel to air mixture in other words you either getting to much air or to little fuel into the carb for the engine to fire. Since you say it will run when fuel is put into the carb. ...more

I answered this same question yesterday to someone else. These exchange places don't purge their tanks properly when they refurbish them to bring the tank to code. There is moisture in the tank that has frozen when the exchange place first filled the tank. It looks like snow floating on water. There are a number of things you can do. First I would take a look underneath the truck. Is anything wet looking? If so touch it and smell to see if it's gas or oil. If you don't see anything you can put newspaper or cardboard under the car to see if anything is dripping and where from. It may be a leaking fuel line if the car is rotted at all.
