How Do You Get Rid Of Mice In Your House?

Answer Question

5 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

A mouse basically is a rodent which belongs to one of the many types of small mammals. Though the most popular mouse is the common house mouse, it is located in generally all countries as the laboratory mouse, and normally caters as a model organism in biology.

Generally people having mice in their houses want to know different ways to get rid of them because of the amount of destruction they cause. One of the best ways of removing mice alive is by using and electronic pest repeller. Another effective method of removing them alive is by laying mouse traps. With the help of these traps, the mice are caught alive and you're responsible for letting them free. Another effective way of getting rid of mice is by blocking off all holes possible and sprinkle baking soda in areas where mice were seen.

Get a cat, it should be able to rid your house of mice in a day or two - and its scent will deter others. You don't necessarily need to buy a moggie for the job, if you know a cat owner they may be willing to let you borrow their cat for a day or two.

Be aware that a cat may not always dispose of the mouse somewhere convenient. You will have to do a sweep round everywhere looking for dead ones. A cat may also present you with a live or dead mouse as a present.

Alternatively, you can purchase mouse traps at most hardware stores, both the traditional spring shut type and humane ones. Bait them with a blob of melted cheese. No matter which type of trap you select there will be an element of squeamishness involved. Be sure to release any live mice well away from your property or they are likely to return, being able to climb walls and squeeze through any gap you put a pencil into.

A third option is poison. Buy proper mouse and rat poison and follow the instructions to the letter. Most poisons work by dehydrating the mouse, forcing it to go outside in search of water. Any that don't make it outdoors are dessicated and don't smell.

I have closed off all drain holes under sinks & used glue traps, but i still have some.  They are located under, in the back, & even in my stove.  I'm so frustrated, I was told to buy moth balls... Supposively that also works.  We'll see, at this point I'm willing to try anything.  My main concern is it being preg.  & breeding some more.  I'm very upset & worried because I have a 5 & 6 yr. Old.  My landlord knew about the problem from the get go, just wish she would do something to help ease my frustration & concern!!!!
