    Decoding your VIN:

      4 - Buick
    94 - Riviera
    87 - Sport coupe hardtop 2-door
      6 - Model year 1966
    H - Flint, assembly plant

LAST 6 DIGITS: Represent the basic production numbers. Starting number 100001/up.

There is no engine info in the VIN number, but all 1966 Riviera use the 425cu. Some export cars to Europe use the 401cu.

Try this side, Visually Identifying a 1960's or '70's GM engine. Http://www.teambuick.com/reference/ident_eng_visual.php
