Why Is My Dog Vomiting & Diarrhea?
8 days ago my 8 year old dachshund got very ill, vomiting several times, and diarrhea with it. This lasted a day & 1/2. Then - back to normal. Thinking she picked up a bug from our son who had same symptoms 2 days prior. She was fine for over a week then last night at 3a.m. She vomited twice , and had a bowel movement, it was loose, but solid. Since 3 a.m. She has eaten, drank, has all her life back . However we just noticed she had another bowel movement, again solid, it had small traces of blood.

Your dog has eaten something disagreeable or she got the virus attack. Diarrhea with blood in it is an alarming sign and it needs immediate medical attention. You should call your veterinarian.
