      The suffix -le is a suffix which is added at the end of those verbs which have a frequentative force. Some common examples of those verbs which have a frequentative force are the verbs to dazzle and to twinkle.

      The suffix -le is a suffix which is added at the end of those adjectives which are formed originally on verbal stems and which have the sense of apt to. A common example of an adjective which is formed originally on verbal stems and which have the sense of apt to is the adjective brittle.  

      The suffix -le is a suffix which is added at the end of those nouns which originally have a diminutive meaning. A common example of a noun which originally has a diminutive meaning is the noun bramble.

      The suffix -le is a suffix which is added at the end of those nouns which indicate the presence of an agent or an instrument. Some common examples of those nouns which indicate the presence of an agent or an instrument are the nouns beadle, bridle and thimble.
