I was wondering what all you need to build a web page....my fiance wants to build a web page, because he wants to put a car club together. Would it be something I could do myself or would I need a professional?

Depends on if you want assisted pages or not... You first need to purchase a domain name... Which you can find @ godaddy.com or other sites by searching google... But if you need help building it, you might at well go with a paid service that will come with a pre-purchased domain anyway...they have tools that will make it easy to build your site... If not you must go through the trouble of using a program such as Dreamweaver and use html code and java and whatever else you may encounter that you would want in your website....

Firstly and most importantly a good idea. Without this it ends up being rather pointless. Also make it about something you are interested. Then you need to program using HTML coding and java script. Make sure it's unique to you then it will be more special.

A simple text editor, like notepad, can be used to write an HTML page, but there are a lot of simple page editors out there for free, some require significant knowledge of html code.. Some are wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) and easy for beginners.  Such editors can be found on many freeware sites like Nonags, or Download.com.
