Okay, I don't know if there are any universal rules on falling in love, but I'll give this a go, for fun:
DO:
Make sure it isn't lust you've fallen in.
Ensure that you both feel the same way before using the big L word.
Give the new person the love and attention they deserve, it's not just about you, you know
Give the other person space
DON'T
Give your heart away too easily
Sell yourself too cheaply!
Come on too strong, it makes me people run away
Rush to anything, sometimes the heart races ahead
Kiss and Tell
Confuse friendship with love
Fall too hard, it might not be the dream that it currently seems to be, and that can often lead to major heart ache.
Brag to your previous conquests (or brag about your previous conquests!)
Shower them with OTT comments or compliments, it's going to make them feel awkward or uncomfortable most of the time.
