How Many Actors Have Played James Bond And Their Names?

James Bond is basically a fictional charactter that was created in the year 1953 by the famous writer Ian Fleming. This character and his story has been converted to large screen also.

A number of top actors of  their times, auditioned for this role but only a few were selected. The list of actors who played James Bond are as follows:

- Joe Don Baker - 1973

- Micheal Billington - 1973, 1979, 1983

- Julian Glover - 1962, 1967

- Sean Bean - 1987

- Colin Salmon - 2004.

I don't know where the first responder got their information, but their answer is way off beam. Some of the actors named have been IN James Bond films, but not as JB himself.

There may be more obscure vesions of the stories (such as the spoof CASINO ROYALE made in the 1960's with David Niven as SIR James Bond) but the official series of films by EON productions had the follwing actors in the title role :-  

Sean Connery  -    Dr No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball,     
                             You Only Live Twice, and Diamonds are Forever  (the last one after
                              OHMSS). Also reprised the role in Never Say Never Again, a spoof
                              remake of Thunderball
