HHR breaks the traditional rule of oil filter placement. HHR's oil filter is actually placed within a housing that is slightly towards the right i.e. To the driver's side. A large hex 32mm head of black color is there on the canister. You require a 32mm or if that is not available, a 1 1/4" with a good sized extension will also work.
