Ray Romano is a stand-up comedian turned actor, who is most famous for his character of Ray Barone in 'Everybody Loves Raymond' which he co-created with Philip Rosenthal.

He was born on the 21st December 1957 in Queens, New York.
Romano worked in the Williamsburg Savings Bank in Queens, where he met his wife Anna. He asked out two other tellers, but Anna was the first one who said yes. The couple have been married since 1987 and have four children together, Alexandra, twins Matthew and Geoffrey and Joseph.
After working in the bank, Romano worked as a futon-delivery man before he tried his hand at stand-up comedy.

After appearing on David Letterman with his stand-up routine, Letterman and CBS signed Romano up to develop a sitcom based around his family life. This became 'Everybody Loves Raymond' which ran for 9 seasons. By the time the show ended in 2005, Romano was earning $1.8 million per episode making him one of the highest paid actors of all time.
