Tony Blair, the outgoing Britain premier, does not score a very good impression in the eyes of former president of the United States Jimmy Carter. Apparently it seems that Mr. Carter does not hold a very high opinion of Blair who is about to step down from his position on the 27th of June 2007. Specifically regarding the Iraq war, Carter illustrated the disposition of Tony Blair towards current US President George W. Bush as abominable, blindly loyal and an attitude that was characterized by subservience.
The former president even declared this unflinching and pathetically blind support on part of Blair and Britain for the illogical policies of the United States as a chief tragedy that the world has beheld in the context of the war in Iraq. According to Carter, this combination of Bush and Blair has only contributed towards exacerbating the conditions in Iraq and have done nothing but prolonged the problems and the crisis for the people of Iraq.
