    Aberdeen is a city in Scotland, United Kingdom. It is the third largest city in Scotland. It has large population and is situated between the two rivers.

    This city is popular as the 'Chief Commercial Centre' and the 'Seaport' on the North- East side of Scotland. It is called as 'Silver City' or 'Granite City'.

    The city is also famous as the 'Oil Capital Of Europe' since there are oil deposits in the large extent in the North Sea. The city provides good services for the extraction of crude oil.

    Aberdeen is twinned with several towns and cities. The purpose of twinning is to provide benefits to people in each city. These benefits are educational, social, cultural, sporting, economic, personal development, science and technology, health and medical, tourism, commerce, environmental, language learning etc.

    The names of the cities are Regensburg in Germany, Hartlepool in England, Clerrmont- Ferrand in France, Stavanger in Norway, Gomel in Belarus, Bulawayo in Zimbabwe and Houston in Texas.
