Would Length Of Washing Hands Affect The Numbers Of Microbes That Remains On The Hand?

Answer Question

When I was in medicine we had to scrub hands for 30  seconds with an antiseptic soap.  Going b between the fingers, up to the elbows and scrubbing the nails ~~~ yes it does help, as long as you do it often (don't get all OCD about it)
use hand sanitizer between times &  keep a small bottle of it in  your purse and even  larger on in the car for cleansing hands after shopping etc.. Shopping carts are horrible for germs

The amount of time you spend washing your hands absolutely affects the number of germs you are able to get rid of. The current indication is about thirty good seconds of vigorous scrubbing with a good liquid soap and plenty of clean running water. It is also important to use a nail brush as often as you can as well to get into the spaces around the nails. I took a hand washing workshop (how hard is hand washing that you need a workshop?) and they had each of the participants wash their hands normally and then use a lotion that caused the scary things to fluoresce in different colours. I was SHOCKED and disgusted what was hiding on my hands after I washed them "carefully"!
