Why are you the best candidate for this position?

If you want to make sure that you are a good candidate for a job then you will need to do some homework to find out exactly what it is that the company that you are applying to is looking for.

  • Person and job specification.
Very often, when you ask for details of a job, you are given both the job specification and the personal specification. It is also usual to be given a list of job requirements.

Some of the specifications are essential, and if you cannot comply with them, there is little chance of getting the job; other specifications are skills that the organization would like you to have.

If you go through these lists, you can think about the ways that you can demonstrate - either on your application form, or in an interview - how you fulfil the criteria.

  • Interview
If you have ever had an interview before, you will have some idea of the process and what kinds of questions you may be asked. Ask other people about their interview experiences, especially if they are working in a field that you want to enter.

Build up a range of subjects that you think you may be asked about, and think about how you will respond - so that you are as prepared as you can be.

  • Company information
Try and find out as much as you can about the company that you are hoping to work for, and the actual job that you are applying for - so that it is obvious that you are keen and have taken the time to do some research: Companies like to see some evidence of commitment.

  • Previous experience
Think about the experience that you already have, and how you can apply it to the job you are interested in.

You must be referring to the common interview question: Why are you the best candidate for this position?
Whenever you are asked this by an interviewer, you need to convince him by telling him about your relevant skills and abilities.

For example: "I believe I am the best candidate for this position because I am young, energetic and have the ability to take up challenges. "

Job interview tips you need to know to become the best candidate.

Say things like:

"I understand this job requires a lot of hard work and dedication, an in-depth knowledge about the company policies and ability to work in a team."

Also mention:

"My past record shows that I am hardworking and can operate on my own as well as in a group. Also, I am good at adapting to new environments and learning about new organizations, so I believe I'll be the best candidate for this position."

What makes you a good candidate for this position?

I think telling them some specific reasons why you are different than those who are "motivated and honest" etc.

Give them unique situations of past personal experiences. You're already "qualified" because you are sitting in an interview.
