Selling price is determined by the quality of the steel and the demand for it. If you find a right buyer, it could sell upto $500 per ton.
However the normal range for the used steel scrap ranges from $150 to $450 per ton.

The price of Steel fluctuates weekly and sometimes daily. Depending on the grade (HMS 1, HMS 2, etc. ) the price can also vary. Prices have been dramatically cut as of recent and now only fetch around $50 - $100 per ton.
