In the book of Genesis, Chapter 8, God turned the water of the Nile River to blood and later created frogs of every size everywhere because Pharaoh did not want to free his slaves, the Israelites/Jews/Hebrews.

When the blood plague was on, the fish in the Nile did, none of the Egyptians could use the water for any purpose. To find water during the plague, they had to dig to find usable water for 7 days.

The plague of frogs was so bad that there were frogs in their houses, beds, into ovens and into cooking utensils. The plague began when God told Moses to tell Aaron to stretch out his hand over the waters and the frogs came up and covered Egypt. Before long the frogs were dying in the houses, the courts, and the fields; and then, they were piled in heaps and even the land was foul along with all areas of Egypt.

After both plagues, Pharaoh said that he would let the slaves go free if God stopped the plague of blood in the Nile and all waters of Egypt that connected to the Nile River. God proved the Pharaoh a liar by stopping each plague. Both times, immediately, Pharaoh told Moses that he changed his mind. He was determined to keep the Israelites in slavery.
