Can You Answer A Question About Msra Staph Infection?

My son was stung by a bee, or spider bite. not sure. Took him to doctors today because it was swollen very big and big reddish ring. Dr said he had bacterial infection and Msra. Dr did no blood work or anything other than look. Gave us prescription for 2 antibiotics and said to come back tomorrow. His Dr was not in we saw the PA. Does this sound right? Have read nothing on getting Msra from bug bite. He was bitten last night and went to Dr today.

You can always get a second opinion, and see what that doctor said. Because doctors see so much of Msra, they know what it looks like.

They are wrong sometimes, and not taking blood would concern me. I would see someone else if I were you. Good luck.
