Where Is Crystal Palace?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Crystal Palace basically is an area located in south London, England and gets its name after a local landmark which was known as the "The Crystal Palace". The Crystal Palace Park is also based in this region. After the highly successful Great Exhibition held in the year 1851 in Hyde Park, the palace was rebuilt in the year 1854 in a more personalized and extended manner. The palace was highly damaged during a fire outbreak which took place in the year 1936, currently the location of the palace and the grounds surrounding it are known as Crystal Palace Park and include an Olympic sized swimming pool.

Crystal Palace is easily accessible via rail which halts at the Crystal Palace railway station; transport for London has started work on the southern extension of the East London Line.
