How Many Publishers Offered A Contract To Ron Larson For Calculus?

              In the year 1976 Ron Larson with the help of his office friend, Bob, completed writing Calculus. They struggled to write this book. According to Ron Larson he had borrowed $2000 from a friend of his wife. They sent it for publishing it got approved.

              They got offers from; Addison Wesley, Houghton Mifflin, Prentice hall, Prindle Weber & Schmidt, McGraw Hill, Harper & Row, Scott Foresman and D.C Health. They got the best deal from D.C Health so they signed a contract with them.

              In December of the year 1978, the first copy of D.C. Health & Calculus was launched. Ron Larson was very happy and emotionally touched he cried for 15 minutes holding the book in his hand. In the first year the book sold 12,555 copies. And Ron Larson received $8114.48 check as his royalty. Second years royalty was three times more of the first one.
