Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    A rational number is defined as any number that can be expressed as a fraction of 2 integers: X/y.

    All terminating decimals can be expressed as a fraction of 2 integers:

    1.45 = 145/100
    0.069281 = 69281/1000000
    2.28912 = 228912/100000.

    So yes, terminating decimals are rational numbers.
