Treatment of worms in dogs is not once only because all medicines used for this condition are insecticides and these medicines can kill adult worms and can not kill eggs and larvae. After giving initial dose, adult worms are dead but eggs and larvae remain alive and can develop in to adult worms. So, medicines used for intestinal worms in dogs and humans are repeated after certain periods of time and complete treatment is possible after 2-3 months. So, get advice from your vet in this regard.
