Answer Question

This would depend on what wheels and the type of lugs. Do you have any instructions for the wheels?

According to a blog i found they claim it is 103 newton meters or 76 ft lbs but this was for stock rims. It also said to re-check the lugs after you  drive the vehicle for a short distance. On this blog the people in the discussion say they have broken studs by over tightening the lugs. But i have never heard of a gm wheel stud snapping like that. On my s-10 i usually tighten my lugs to 90-95 ft lbs and mine are 16" aluminum rims. If it were me and i just put some new rims on i would ask a certified mechanic what they torque a 17" aluminum or chrome plated rims in order to prevent damage to you and your car.it also depends on how you tighten the lugs using the star pattern -tightening the top lug and then skipping to a lug on the opposite side  and then going back to the top lug next in the order that they are loose until all the lugs are tightened.
