Red, blue, and yellow are the primary colors. The secondary colors are a combination of the primary. Red and blue make purple. Red and yellow make orange. Blue and yellow make green. So, now you have the rainbow... almost. In the degrees of the spectrum, with red being the longest wave... you have Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet (Indigo being a combination of Blue and Red and Green -sort of). The shortest wave length of color is "violet" or "purple" as other call it. There are also "tertiary" coliors, and then there are warm and cool hues. Black is the absence of all color, and white is the presence of all color.  Have fun and go to your local art supply store and ask them for their best color wheel - then, you will know you are confused!

Im Cortney and it means that the colors: Blue, red, and yellow mean that they can make different colors by mixing them! They are like the parents of the colors:Primary, secondary, and intermediate colors! And almost all the colors are under primary! So do you get it?
