    About 500 or 600 yrs ago whn society ws engulfed with things like sati,child marriges and attrocoties agnst women ws at its peak and whn there were ppl forcefully converting innocent ppl into Islam was born Sikhism to give everyone qual Rights....be it young old man woman child black white weak or strong...:).
    It preached No Idol worship and Considered Guru Granth Saheb(Holy Book) as the Ultimate God after a String of 10 Saints who teached the Sikh way of life to ppl at tht time!

    It began in North Western India(now Pakistan) and thn stretched towrds the Indian Subcontinent and now as v ol knw SIkhs and SIkh shrines are present at many places in the world!!

    The Gurudwara(Holy Place of Worship) is considered as a Path to God.
    Which is open fr ol religions

    Sewa(Service) is a Big ideal for a Sikh way of life and also is fight against cruelty
