    How Do I Introduce My Kitten To My Older Cat?

    I just brought home a five week old kitten and my one year old cat is not happy. She hisses constantly and I am afraid If I leave them alone together the kitten will get hurt. Is there anything I can do....Please Help.

    They will get along eventually. Just watch them closely and if you were to go somewhere keep them in separate rooms.I got a cat a few yrs ago and my other cat didn't like the new cat much so we watched them closely and put them in separate rooms for about a few weeks but now they just love each other.

      Well in start have a separate place, cage or boundary for your kitten in the same place or room. Let the older cat observe and analyze the new buddy after some time let the kitten play with the old one for few hours and then start increasing the time. Do this slow and stead and soon the older one will accept the new buddy. That's what i did when i bought one. Now i have three cats and now i am not facing such problems; in fact they are very close to each other even if some one is missing the other two wont take the meal. :)
