What Are Status Updates? Facebook

The feature called status updates on the online community Facebook enables you to tell your friends what you are presently doing. It can be anything from your moods to what you may want to do or what you are doing. For instance if you're not in a mood to socialize you may want to update your status saying ' Guest is in hibernation at the moment', if you're going some place then you can say that ' Guest is looking forward to his holiday in Florida' or if you feel like eating something you could even say ' Guest is craving blueberry muffins'. In short, it can be anything and it's up to you to add any detail about yourself there that tells your friends the state you're in.

At the top of the page there's a bubble that asks you what are you thinking that's where you change your status.
