"My patience is at an end" says the commissioner of the European Union for Energy - Andris Piebalgs - and announces to knock down the big energy-giants of Europe and force them to bow to free market - free competition principles. His department has analysed the situation and has come to the conclusion, that there is no way around to knock down the large monopolists. At the end of the day - if they refuse to cooperate - the electricity net will be confiscated - finished. Confiscated and managed by some neutral society - granting rights of use it to anyone on the market for a fair price. 'Thus cost of electricity will eventually come down to its real market level - since competition will see to it.

In a field of business, where corruption and political influence were able to grow like mushrooms in a humid-cellar, with huge amounts of money flow to pay anyone off who could harm them - let's see if this new broom will really sweep so well!!

After all, where did Ex-Chancellor Schröder go after his political careeer was ended? To Gasprom !!
