I Am Hepatitis C Patient. What Medicine Should I Use To Kill The "Hepatitis C" Virus?

Answer Question

You won't, mate.  My brother has it and it will end up killing him first.  However, he has had lived with it for nearly 15 years now. I am beginning to think smoking will kill him first, instead.

Blurtit is not the place to get good quality medical advice and I strongly encourage you to see a qualified specialist to see what can be done about your condition.

Hepatitis C by definition, is much harder to treat than Hep. A or B.  The Hep. C virus has a high mutation rate, which means it's very unpredictable how the virus in your body will respond to any particular type of medication.

If you are interested in possible complimentary medicine, read this review.  Note this website is quick to claim no cures.

This US government website also lays out the basic prognosis.  There is no cure.  Mild cases are best treated by looking after yourself well.  Severe cases need strong drugs, like interferon (but the right drug for you case may be different).
