      Some say it is of African origin meaning Seasons Beginning, others that it is of Swedish origin, short for Kristina. I was christened Kia in the UK in 1955 and the name was created out of my parents' initials.

        Kia is not a Turkish name. It is an African name and it means 'hill'.
