Almost all the works of James A. Michener have something from which an aspiring writer can take inspiration from and not only inspiration but can learn the craft. But in one of his works, he concentrated solely on the craft only and the name of the novel itself is 'The Novel'.
When you go into reading the novel, you will find that it is divided into four sections. The first section deals with the writer and then comes the role of the editor. The other two sections are dedicated to the critic and reader respectively. The novel suggests that what it takes to become a writer and it also suggest the ways with the use of which you can become a writer. You can also find the mention of classic works by reading which you can improve your writing style.
