What Is Cymatic Therapy?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Cymatic therapy refers to the treatment used to send perceptible sound waves directly into the body, not through the ear only, but throughout the skin. The use of sound or music has a great significance in the field of medicine since ancient time. The term 'cymatic' was initially coined by a Swiss scientist Hans Jenny during 1960s. According to the proponents of Cymatic therapy, it is believed that sound has the ability to re-arrange the molecules; hence it is potentially beneficial to the bodily system as a whole. This therapy has proven to be very effective for the diseases which are otherwise incurable or potentially terminal one such as tumours, blood diseases, bacterial or viral infections, internal bruises, etc. On the other hand, this is also true that in some cases, Cymatic therapy seems unable to put any significant influence. This therapy runs on the principle assuming that body as a whole is a vibrating phenomenon, and the focus of the therapy is to restore this vibration to its optimum healthy level. Patients having pacemakers and pregnant woman are not at all encouraged to undergo Cymatic therapy. However, no side-effects for Cymatic therapy have been reported so far.
