I Really Want A Pet But I Am Allergic To Animals, Are There Any That Won't Set Off My Allergies?

Answer Question

There are some animals which don't trigger off allergic reactions, for example small animals. Fish are another good option, and not everybody is allergic to birds. It all depends on which animals you are actually allergic to. There are actually some dogs around now which are hypoallergenic. They have been bred especially to cut down an allergy sufferer's reaction to the dog. They have also very recently done that with cats too though they are not available to buy really yet and they are also extremely expensive. As hypoallergenic cats have only just come about, they are costing around £2,000 and there are only around 200-300 available so it is unlikely that you will get one even if you have the money.

If you want one of the hypoallergenic dogs, they are named either 'Labradoodle' or 'Goldendoodle' and they are readily available in the UK. However they may not necessarily stop an allergic reaction altogether so it is best to do as much research as possible before purchasing one.
