"Hi, I've over heard a little of your conversation, and I would like to know what the real question is here. There might be something here that I can contribute to, or add to your debate." (Please remember to be polite about it)

If you want to interact in a group discussion and the people around you are seems be stranger ,the first step is listen their points of view about the topic or what issue they are discussing with each other? There will be number of people, who will be taking part in that discussion, try to know their general views. If you have good knowledge about that subject or issue that what is the topic of their discussion? Just start your conversation by introducing yourself then" I was listening your views regarding that issue' then tell them your opinion about that issue. In that way you can join that group.
But don't try to interrupt during discussion session. Always wait for your turns. Listen what other people are talking about. Try to learn from the thing. If you don't have any idea about the discussion there is no need to take part in it, as it will create problem for you. Its good to take part in such kinds of discussions as it will develop your confidence and you will be able to learn the manners .start you conversation in very smoothly and gentle manner. Don't use harsh words. Don't get rude with any one as it will affect your image .if you will follow these things you can easily be a part of any kind of discussion.
