What's The Volume Of A Cube That Has An Edge Of 7 Yards?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    A cube has all sides of equal length. A cube's face is actually a square.

    Now, the generic formula for finding the volume of any shape is:

    Volume = Length x width x height

    Since all dimensions are equal in a cube, we can say:
    Volume  = s3

    Now, one side of the cube is 7 yards. So, the volume would be:

    Volume = s3
    V = (7)3
    V = 343 cubic yards

    Hence, the volume of the cube is 343 cubic yards.
