Are Toads Poisonous To Yorkie Puppies?
Mine Is Nine Months Old And She Has Loose Stools And Has Vomited Several Times, The Vet Believes She Either Caught A Toad Or Ate A Bug Of Some Sort. She Also Has Had A Low Grade Temp Of 103.

Most toads can cause some mild, self-limiting gastrointestinal upset. This can be due to a taste reaction--they lick the toad and then the taste leads to nausea, possibly vomiting, diarrhea, or lethargy.
Bufo toads are very poisonous to dogs. These can lead to severe cardiovascular (collapse) and neurological signs like seizures. This is a fairly rapidly acting event so if your dog just has vomiting and diarrhea this is probably not a concern.
Did you actually see your puppy lick or eat a toad? There are many other things that can lead to vomiting and diarrhea in dogs--their gastrointestinal tract is their stress organ. Often we are left cleaning up the mess and giving them symptomatic care.
Puppies, especially small breeds, do not have a lot of reserve. When they have vomiting or diarrhea they can lose fluid very quickly; they become dehydrated, hypoglycemic, and hypothermic very quickly. If her condition progresses please have her seen by a veterinarian for supportive care.
Especially if the vomiting continues for more than 24-36 hours she needs to be seen by a veterinarian. Vomiting in puppies always makes me concerned about the possibility of a foreign body obstruction. They chew toys, clothes, etc and pieces can get stuck in the intestines.

It is not fatally poisonous but to such a small animal it would have some side effects if she tried to eat one, I do not believe it would have any lasting harm but would produce "bad tummy" symptoms for a few days.
If this continues past 5 days I would take her back to the vets and explain that the effects seem more permanent.
