 Will My Cats Be Harmed In Any Way If I Bring Them With Me When I Move From America To Australia? Is It Cruel To Bring Them On A Plane, Then To Quarantine? I Love Them. What Do I Do? |
| No one wants cats that are 2 yrs old. There are animals all over abandoned or left looking for new homes. I love my 2cats, but people say it's cruel to put them on a plane for 17 hours from East coast U.S. To Australia, and then they will go to quarantine when they get there... I more than likely will not find someone to take them and I would never consider putting them to sleep for convenience sake. It's costly, but what can I do? Will they be harmed in any way from the transport?

I applaud you for looking after your cats. While I am sure they will not love being on the airplane for a long period of time they will be okay. Lots of people bring their animals on long plane rides. Once your cats arrive in Australia they will be quarantined for the standard 30 days before you can take them home with you.
