Deep venous thrombosis or DVT is formation of blood clot in the vein deep in the body. Usually it affects legs. DVT can  be cured by medicines like heparin and warfarin. Surgery is also recommended sometimes. But DVT can reoccur. If DVT is not treated on time then blood clot can break and travel to lungs or heart which can be fatal.
